The skeleton of King Richard III was discovered in 2012 in the foundations of Greyfriars church, Leicester, 527 years after he was killed at the Battle of Bosworth Field. Richard III’s casket will lie in Leicester Cathedral for public viewing until 26th March when he will be re-interred during a service attended by members of the royal family. Here are pictures of the funeral cortege heading through the Leicestershire countryside.
