My new book Travel Sights Travel Guides don’t mention is free today. This book describes a large number of little known tourist sights from around the world. It is a book for the discerning traveller who has been everywhere else.
This is an excerpt:
Gullane Park in Istanbul is a huge park with a golf course, based on the championship course at Gullane on the east coast of Scotland. Entry to this park is free, if the visitor is wearing at least one tartan item. Donning a kilt is encouraged as is drinking Irn Bru from cans. This is a little bit of Scotland by the Bosphorus. Statues in the park include Bonnie Prince Charlie, Sir Alex Ferguson, and Sean Connery.
