Today’s tip relates to booking train tickets on SNCF.

I have used Captain Train extensively over the past month – their website is as follows:

Not only is their website available in English, but it’s easy to book tickets, exchange tickets, and receive refunds should there be a strike. Captain Train also replies to questions/concerns via email and Twitter within 24/48 hours. They also explained why I was able to buy a ticket for a carriage that wasn’t part of the actual train (SNCF sometimes sends Captain Train the wrong carriage numbers).
