Travel 2016 – Tip 26 – Hotels in Collioure and Perpignan

The hotels i stayed at in Collioure and Perpignan were both good.

The Hotel des Templiers in Collioure has original paintings on the walls, all of them inspired by the light in the town. The hotel has rooms looking towards the Chateau Royal but these can be noisy if there are many people eating in the restaurants below. The hotel also advertises balconies but these are barely big enough to stand on. The restaurant and bar are on the front of the hotel but the reception is around the back on a side street which is confusing.

The Hotel de la Loge is around 20 minutes from the station in Perpignan, but it’s close to all the major sights e.g. Hotel de Ville, Cathedral, Campo Santo. The hotel is very quiet although you have to be aware that all the streets are cleaned around 6 a.m. in the old town. The rooms are large.  Recommended.
