Just in case you hadn’t heard, my home-town team Leicester City have won the English Premier League for the first time. They were tipped for relegation at the start of the season by most so-called experts and were 5,000-1 to win the title, longer odds than for the Loch Ness Monster to be discovered. Leicester won. Nessie is still avoiding detection.

Here’s a story about how Leicester’s triumph has been viewed around the world by all the countries connected with Leicester’s players and manager, the soon-to-be patron saint of Leicester, Claudio Ranieri.

Interestingly, most experts are saying Leicester will come around tenth in the 20-team Premier League in the 2016-2017 season. We shall see. Leicester City’s fortunes turned around once Richard III was given a decent burial in Leicester Cathedral.
