Travelled from Heathrow to Geneva and used the EES system (Entry / Exit System for the Schengen area) at the airport. It’s quite easy to use. If you’re not registered in the EES, the machine will take your picture and the fingerprints on your right hand. It will also ask some questions about length of stay and whether you have enough money to support yourself.
Once that’s done, you still have to go through passport control and have your passport and EES registration checked by a human being.
