Pender Island

Pender Island, named after Captain Daniel Pender, consists of North and South Pender Islands measuring a combined 34 square kilometers and are the second most populous of the southern Gulf Islands in British Columbia. It was originally joined by Indian Portage and later separated by a narrow canal until a bridge was built in 1955. The island offers parks, beaches, and varied ferry routes. Despite encountering trails leading to private property, the island’s scenic beauty and unique features leave a lasting impression.
